A few weeks ago, I shared the exciting news that Vince Camuto is coming to Canada – not just with his famous footwear, but with a brand new lifestyle collection that extends to clothing, handbags, accessories and more! Last Friday I attended an exclusive media presentation of the fall 2012 Vince Camuto collection – and ladies – there is some amazing stuff coming our way!
At the swanky Arcadian Loft in downtown Toronto, guests enjoyed bubbly and nibbles while admiring urban accessory vignettes and a fall fashion preview from Vince Camuto himself!
Vince Camuto is the man behind our favourite footwear brands and trends. He has an unmatched understanding of the modern female consumer; offering fashion-forward products at a surprising value without compromising quality. I was thrilled to meet Vince and witness his enthusiasm first-hand. He is genuinely excited to reach Canadian women who appreciate great value – “It’s like landing on the moon!”
After a brief introduction by the lovely Sonia Zarbatany (Executive VP of Vince Camuto Canada), Vince took the stage and charmed the crowd with his passion for attainable style. Not only is he a fashion, business and brand icon, but he’s a gentleman – affectionately praising his wife and Creative Director, Louise Camuto, for being his muse as well as thanking President of The Bay, Bonnie Brooks, for her support (both were in attendance).
I really enjoyed exploring the vignettes throughout the venue. They were styled to perfection – featuring shoes, handbags, jewellery and other accessories from the fall collection. I love the warm autumn palette with pops of bold colour, the classic pumps and their edgy studded counterparts, the gentle use of animal prints, touchable textures and the chunky mixed metal statement jewellery. Vince ensures that there’s something for everyone – from classic tastes to fashion-forward trendsetters – but he guarantees that “everyone will want the moto boot this season.”
Just as my Vince Camuto fall wish list was brimming, the clothing came out and threw me into full-on fashion frenzy! Beautifully tailored cigarette pants, skirts and structured jackets offset by soft silk blouses and dresses. I love the playful yet sophisticated use of prints and florals, the eye-catching colour combinations and of course the finishing touches from the shoe, handbag and accessory collections.
