Like most girls, I have my makeup must haves and go-to brands and products. For the past year, I’ve been pretty loyal to Urban Decay. Known for their daring shade names and innovative products (which are all cruelty-free), Urban Decay carries one of the widest selections of color at Sephora – a main reason their brand is so much fun! I haven’t tried their face products because I’m pretty loyal to NARS and Bare Escentuals, but I love their eyeshadows and lip colours.
Check out my top 3 Urban Decay faves…
The Naked Palette: This super flattering palette features 12 eyeshadows with a distinctly urban look. With a variety of shades and textures, including glitter, shimmer and matte, you’ll never get bored with the endless possibilities. The mirrored case is travel friendly and it comes with a soft brush. Lately I’ve been using Creep (black metallic) as a smudgy liner, Sin (champagne shimmer) on the entire eyelid, Toasted (taupe-bronze) in the crease and Virgin (nude satin) as a highlighter. It’s a great nighttime look and for daytime I just skip the crease colour.
Eyeshadow Primer Potion: It preps, brightens and provides all-day wear. I’ve tried numerous eyeshadow primers and this one lives up to it’s promises. This bestselling potion glides effortlessly onto the skin providing the ultimate eye prep for smoother, more vibrant shadow and all-day, creaseless wear. The squeeze tube with a precise needle nose allows you to take just a bit at a time because a little goes a long way.
Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Colour: Creamy, pigment saturated, high-impact colors and an arresting high-gloss finish all in one chubby pencil. With a dynamic bright to deep shade range in creamy and sparkly textures, the runway-ready possibilities are endless. My favourite shade is Fbomb – the hottest red I’ve ever seen. No matter how you wear it, the colour lasts and can be blotted for a more stain-like effect. With natural eye makeup, this lip colour steals the show for an unforgettable Marilyn-esque pout!
If you don’t have any Urban Decay products, start with these! I promise you won’t be disappointed. All of these items are available through Sephora and Amazon and range in price from $19-$50. Let me know what you think! Happy shopping
