Spa at The Hazelton with WaySpa

After an action-packed weekend at the second annual Spark Sessions conference, my feet were in desperate need of a little TLC. Luckily for them, I pre-booked a relaxing spa pedicure at The Spa at The Hazelton, which conveniently accepts WaySpa gift cards!

As a WaySpa ambassador, I get to visit a different spa partner in Toronto each month. The Hazelton Hotel on luxurious Yorkville Avenue is considered Toronto’s most exclusive hotel – home to A-list celebrities (especially during TIFF) and ONE Restaurant with renowned Executive Chef, Mark McEwan. Needless to say, I knew I was in for a treat visiting their spa!

WaySpa: Mani-Pedi at Novo Spa

Categories: Beauty

Last week was World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto. Between my day job, blogging, fashion shows and backstage interviews, I was a well-dressed blur to those around me! I love putting together my looks for the shows but I don’t have time to worry about chipped nails during such a hectic week. I always treat myself to a gel manicure before the shows and this time, I visited Novo Spa for a relaxing spa mani-pedi as part of my WaySpa Ambassadorship.

WaySpa: Mani-Pedi at Novo Spa

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Novo Spa before for their signature steam bed body treatment, but until now, I’d never had a mani-pedi there. Not only did I get a super shiny, chip-proof, shellac mani that’s still going strong, but I also got one of the best pedicures I’ve ever had.

Restore Damaged Nails with Trind

Categories: Beauty,Nails

I love getting gel manicures because they last for weeks and allow me to forget about my nails for a while. That said, these super strong and durable manis have a tendency to damage my nails especially after a few gel manis in a row. When I heard about the Trind Keratin Nail Restorer and Protector treatments, I couldn’t wait to see if they would restore my damaged nails.

I’m sure you’ve heard about restorative and strengthening Keratin hair treatments; it only makes sense to leverage that same power in a nail treatment – keratin is after all the key structural protein component in both hair and nails.

Globetrotting Mani-Pedi: The 10 Spot

As you may have noticed from my updates on social media, I just returned home from the biggest business trip of my life. It was an exciting three weeks abroad, starting in Orlando then over to Singapore, Thailand and Tokyo. With such a busy work and travel schedule, I knew that I would need a mani-pedi that would LAST. My friends at The 10 Spot in Leslieville hooked me up!

You know I’m a huge fan of the OPI gel manicures and nail art at The 10 Spot, but have you heard that they’re now doing gel pedicures too?

MUST HAVE: Winter Beauty Savers

Categories: Beauty

Happy Friday Friends! As I look outside my window this morning to see a little more ice and snow on the ground, I can’t help but share my must have winter beauty savers! I regularly post about my favourite hair products and skincare lines, but this post is dedicated to those special products that I lean on during the coldest season of the year.

Winter Beauty: Face Savers

Winter Beauty: Face Savers

If you know me, you know that I’m a little skincare obsessed. In addition to my morning and night skincare routine, these two products are my cold weather staples:

1 – Gratiae Renewing Peeling Gel: I need to exfoliate more in the winter time, but scrub based exfoliants irritate my sensitive skin after a while. Don’t be scared off by the word “peel” – this organic peeling gel is gentle on the skin and incredibly effective for removing dead skin cells. Just massage in a circular motion and immediately feel the peeling effect – it’s amazing!

2 – MaskerAide Weather Warrior Mask: As silly as they look, I love sheet masks. They’re cooling on the skin and they incubate nutrient rich ingredients for an intensely hydrating experience. I make time for a MaskerAide every week! In the winter months, I love the Weather Warrior mask with aloe, green tea, witch hazel and argan oil to soothe and heal my skin after exposure to the elements outside.
