I guess you could say I have a thing for marble right now. I didn’t really realize the depth of the obsession until a bank teller asked me if my phone case matched my winter jacket – to which I sheepishly replied “Yes…yes it does.” So now it’s a thing.
Jacket: Bench, Sweater: Joe Fresh, Leggings: Aritzia, Hat: Rudsak, Sneakers: New Balance, Phone Case: Casetify via Shopbop
My previous phone case was getting all kinds of gross after a year, so I picked up this marble look iPhone case by Casetify online at Shopbop just prior to the holidays. It’s sturdy, chic and yes, it matches my kitchen counters too.
It took a while to arrive, but winter is here in full frigid force! I have a few different winter coat styles that I’ll wear over the next few months (as well as share on the blog), but this one might just be my favourite. Just because the weather is grey and gloomy doesn’t mean I have to be! I love wearing pastels in the winter and this coat looks great with my new Rok Cork bag!

Coat: Sentaler, Toque: SimpleSmiles & Co, Handbag: Rok Cork, Shoes: Le Chateau, Jeans: Hudson
My Sentaler shawl collar wrap coat may not be warm enough for the ski slopes, but it’s perfect for winter walks, running errands or as an elegant topper for a night out. The dusty rose colour is gorgeous and the super-fine alpaca wool keeps me cozy without sacrificing style.
I hope you all enjoyed the holidays – can you believe we’ll be kicking off a new year tomorrow night?! If you’re looking for a NYE outfit idea, check out my last post. For my final outfit post of 2015, I thought I’d show off one of the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe (and one that I’ll be wearing well into 2016). I picked up this long waistcoat back in February as a layering piece for my spring/summer outfits. It looks perfectly polished over dresses or blouses as the weather gets warmer – but I love layering it with my fall/winter looks too!
Waistcoat: ZARA (similar), Dress: Aritzia, Boots: Le Chateau, Bag: Aritzia, Hat: Aritzia, Watch: Daniel Wellington
The minimalist silhouette of a sleeveless waistcoat is effortlessly chic with the structure of a blazer and the comfort of an oversized vest or cardigan. It can be worn time and time again when styled differently, making it the perfect piece for layering anytime of year!
Happy holidays! I’m finished my shopping, all the gifts are wrapped and I’m wholeheartedly in the Christmas spirit this week! I can’t wait to spend some quality time with my family and disconnect from work for a few days. Most of my downtime will be spent in cozy lounge wear (AKA “I ate too much turkey” pants), but for those dressy events, I found the perfect holiday dress!
Dress: M for Mendocino, Shoes: Nine West, Necklace: Jennybird, Clutch: Ela
I love this dress because it doesn’t scream “holiday dress”. Don’t get me wrong, I love velvet and sequins as much as the next girl, but this elegant navy dress can be worn long beyond the office holiday party or the New Year’s Eve bash.
Even though it’s unseasonably mild for mid-December (and I’m not complaining), ’tis the season for a cozy sweater dress. I picked up the Bianca Dress from Aritzia last month and it’s perfect for making the fall-to-winter transition in style with luxuriously soft Italian Merino wool.
Dress: Aritzia, Boots: Le Chateau, Bag: Le Chateau, Watch: Daniel Wellington, Hat: Japan
This sweater dress features an oversized yet feminine fit, slouchy warm turtleneck and a flattering sculpted hem line. It’s effortlessly easy to style whether you’re dressing it down with sneakers or up with sexy over-the-knee boots like my faves from Le Chateau.
