Even though we just had a spring snowstorm (UGH!) I’m still pumped for warmer weather and stocking up my spring/summer wardrobe. I’m a big fan of the midi dress length for seasonal transitions because it provides a little extra coverage and can be worn with or without tights.
Dress: Aritzia, Jacket: Mango (in Paris), Shoes: Le Chateau, Bag: Sneha Varma
I picked up this minimalist-chic midi dress at Aritzia a couple of weeks ago. I love the pale pastel blue colour and the effortless shift shape. It’s sleeveless so I can style it on its own on a warm day or with a jacket on top for cooler temperatures.
Even though mother nature is threatening a snow storm this week, spring is officially here and I kicked it off with a bold, bright bomber jacket from Adidas Canada. As soon as I spotted this jacket in their online shop I knew it would be the perfect spring topper! I love the wild print with purple, blue and pink swirls anchored by the classic Adidas logo and stripes.

It’s lightweight yet warm on those brisk spring days and the bomber shape is definitely making a comeback this season. I ordered mine a couple sizes too big for a more relaxed look – it’s perfect for Sunday errands or a walk with your dog!
Safari chic – it could be a thing right? I had no intention of dressing like a desert adventurer when I put this neutral look together, but I love it anyway! With temperatures FINALLY over zero in Toronto, I’m inspired to play with my spring wardrobe and this look came together with some of my new spring purchases and trusted winter staples.
Dress: Aritzia, Vest: Club Monaco, Boots: Le Chateau, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff from Shopbop, Necklace: Biko, Hat: Japan
It’s all about making that seasonal transition this month – layering with pieces that can be mixed and matched for the weather or occasion. I’d wear this safari chic look during the daytime for brunch or shopping and can easily remove the hat and swap the vest for a leather moto jacket for a sleek nighttime look.
Even though the last week has been pretty frigid, we’ve had pretty mild temperatures this season and I’m all about layered looks right now. This cozy sweater dress and chic waistcoat combo is perfect for a dinner outing or a day of shopping. It’s warm without being too heavy and if the temperature drops, I can easily add leggings and a wool overcoat to the mix for additional coverage.

On this particularly mild day, I skipped the tights and opted for suede over-the-knee boots and a bohemian floppy wool hat. I can swap that with a beanie for an equally chic, yet warmer look.
What the what? Is this girl crazy? No my friends, this post is all about styling that slinky and silky slip dress for the cold winter months. And yes, I had to brave the elements for a few minutes to snap these photos – so, you’re welcome!

I found this long, fully lined slip dress at Aritzia just before the holidays and I love the colour and midi length for the fall/winter season. That said, it’s a camisole style so it’s all about adding those winter layers – at least while I’m outside!
