Baby Shower Style

I recently co-hosted my sister’s baby shower with my Mom in our hometown of Georgetown, ON. It’s pretty surreal seeing my little sister with a baby bump – I remember holding her as a baby when I was 5 years old! Today, she’s all grown up, beautiful and glowing with love for her man and their baby girl – only 2 more months to go!

I can’t wait to be an Auntie to a baby girl – she’s definitely going to get some dainty little outfits from me! Naturally we kicked off the dainty delights with a pretty pink Baby Shower!

We loaded up on pink decorations and my Mom made her first diaper cake as a beautiful (and useful) centrepiece for the guest of honour. I made pretty pink, chocolate-brown and ivory coloured cake pops to match the colours on the Baby Shower invitation that I designed with Blushnotes Invitations.  It’s so much fun making and decorating cake pops – this time I made French Vanilla – YUM! Cake pops are dainty too ;)

With so much pink in the room, I decided to wear a mint green lace dress from Urban Outfitters. I love the way this colour looks with pink so I went with pink ombre nails and pink lips to tie it all together.

Throw in a couple of cheesy games and a lot of great presents and the first baby shower Mom and I ever hosted was a success! I definitely got the warm and fuzzies seeing my sister so happy and feeling all the love and support in the room from great friends and family. Love you Little Sis – this is going to be such a beautiful adventure :)
