There’s nothing dainty about sweat – it’s all good when we exercise, but getting sweaty in public, wearing nice clothing is uncomfortable and embarrassing! With the heat wave we’ve been having in Toronto and the summer ahead, we’re about to sweat outside of the gym a lot more!
I usually manage sweat control with regular deodorant / antiperspirant – but certain occasions warrant something stronger.
Like summer weddings – it’s hot, you’re dressed to the nines and dancing. For many people (myself included), this is a hot mess…especially when there’s a photographer around! Last summer, I made a discovery that takes the anxiety out of those sticky situations…
I was determined not to let sweat interfere on my own wedding day, so I started looking into stronger options. My sweat concerns don’t warrant prescriptive strength antiperspirants or painful botox injections in my sweat glands, but the sticks at the drug store just wouldn’t cut it on my special day. When I came across DERMAdoctor MED e TATE Sweat Control Towelettes online, I decided to give them a try.
With the swipe of a simple towelette (anywhere you sweat – including your face), this product alleviates the need for cumbersome, painful or expensive anti-sweat measures.
I put them to the test during my bachelorette weekend in NYC and they worked wonders for me! Even through hours of walking around in the sun, shopping and dancing the night away – I was comfortable and dry.
This dermatologist-recommended antiperspirant therapy really works ladies! You don’t have to have hyperhidrosis to enjoy the benefits of MED e TATE – we all hate nervous sweaty hands on job interviews or dates, makeup melting on a hot day and fashion emergencies due to wet spots under the breasts or underarms. These convenient packettes fit perfectly in your purse or pocket for discrete sweat control whenever you need it.
I didn’t experience any adverse reactions to MED e TATE – except for a little stinging on my underarms because I used one right after shaving – but that subsided quickly and left no redness. I don’t suffer from hyperhidrosis so I only use these when I anticipate the potential for sweat discomfort or embarrassment – and at $60 CDN for a pack of 30 towelettes, they last me a long time with just occasional use.
The price tag is definitely steep for people who need them regularly so I would suggest doing your research and comparing them to other long-term options. You can buy MED e TATE towelettes from Sephora or directly from DERMAdoctor.com and with shipping and currency conversion to CDN dollars, they work out to about the same price.
I wish I could get away with natural deodorant – but sometimes my body isn’t as dainty as I’d like it to be. With a few of these wipes in my purse, I’m not going to worry about it this summer!
Stay tuned for my summer makeup tips including shine control…
