With the arrival of spring temperatures, there’s nothing like a pair of floral pants to ring in the sunny season! I already have a pair of floral joggers but had yet to add a pair of stretchy floral pants to my collection – until I found these from Canadian brand I Love Tyler Madison.
Pants: I Love Tyler Madison, Tunic: Free People at Shopbop, Shoes: Le Chateau, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
The Jardin de Fleur print features soft pink, grey and cream which makes this pair of pants easy to match with various items in my wardrobe. It’s the perfect print for spring and while these pants look dressy, they feel like super cozy lounge wear!
As someone who works full time from home, I make my own coffee each morning and as I previously wrote about, I make my own smoothies for lunch. I save tons of money compared to my days working in an office and buying my breakfast and lunch each day, but sometimes I miss the luxury of a latte or espresso based morning beverage. Sure, I can get into my car to go get one, and sometimes I do for the opportunity to step away from my desk for a little break, but most of time, I settle for homemade drip coffee. Until now! My friends at Nespresso graciously sent me a brand new Nespresso VertuoLine Evoluo coffee maker as a housewarming gift! Needless to say, it looks great in my new kitchen and my hubby-to-be and I have been loving it!
I used to think Nespresso machines could only make espresso shots and that didn’t appeal to me because I prefer a tall coffee or latte. The new Nespresso VertuoLine Evoluo machine makes both! I purchased some regular coffee capsules as well as some espresso capsules to give me the ultimate variety right in the comfort of my own home.
If you’re like me, chances are you’ve had a few bad experiences washing special articles of clothing at home. The tags may not say “dry clean only” but sometimes they really should! After ruining a few items of clothing, I often defer to dry cleaning out of fear and most likely spend more money than I need to. My friends at Tide recently challenged me to give regular home laundering a try once again. I accepted the challenge and picked out an outfit that I would normally hand wash or dry clean – this delicate airy sundress and a soft chambray kimono.
Dress: Aritzia, Kimono: Aritzia, Hat: Aritzia, Shoes: Le Chateau
The labels recommend hand washing on these items but I defied those rules and washed them using the gentle cycle in my washing machine, cold water, Tide Pod detergent and Downy Fabric Conditioner.
Turns out, they’re surprisingly washable!
My fiancé and I recently moved from a two bedroom townhouse to a four bedroom detached home in Toronto. While we were thrilled with the idea of upgrading to a bigger home, we weren’t so excited about the process of moving. Enter Jiffy…
Of course there’s an app for that! Jiffy offers easy home services on demand. When we determined our moving date, we simply launched the Jiffy app, searched on “moving” and entered our moving date. Within one click, Jiffy searched their inventory of reputable Toronto-based moving companies until they found one that could provide service on the date requested. Within 5 minutes, I had a confirmation email in my inbox with the name of the moving company and an approximate price quote. Easy peasy!
I’ve been an east-ender for almost 10 years and now that I live closer to the Danforth, there’s so much more to explore! I’ve always heard good things about Allure Body Bar – they’re well recognized for their waxing services. I haven’t ventured into that realm myself yet (thankfully, I just don’t need to), but I visited Allure a few weeks ago to try their lash and brow tinting services.
I love the idea of tinting because it means less makeup! With vacation season in full swing, this is the perfect service to try so you can skip the mascara on the beach or at the pool. Raccoon-eyes and bikinis just don’t mix.
