Merino Wool and Leather Layers

When I spotted this sleeveless funnel neck sweater at Aritzia, I immediately fell for the super soft merino wool and the long length with exaggerated side slits. I was hesitant to pick it up because the concept of a sleeveless sweater in the winter seemed limiting, but it’s turned out to be a great layering piece in my winter wardrobe that I can continue styling into spring.

Over sized sweaters have been everywhere this season, but this one is striking with it’s dressy length and curve enhancing slits. The extra fine merino wool from Italy is warm and luxurious to the touch. I styled it with my favourite leather detailed leggings and a bold red cape coat.

This is a great look for a night out – warm enough to get you from point A to point B – but you can ditch the coat for an edgy-chic winter look at the bar. I love mixing textures like this!

Sweater: Aritzia, Leggings: Dutch Blonde, Coat: Le Chateau, Shoes: Nine West, Bag: Sneha Varma, Watch: Caravelle, Rings: H&M

This merino wool sweater is super versatile – I like to wear it with boyfriend jeans for a more casual look or layer it over a long sleeve shirt on really cold days. In the spring, I’ll style it with a pleated/flared mini skirt or my wide cropped gaucho pants – how would you style it?
