Two Shades of Chambray

Chambray is a lightweight denim-like fabric that’s popular for spring. I normally wear chambray shirts with colourful skinny jeans or white chinos, but when Fidelity Denim sent me these beautiful pieces for their #DevotedToDenim campaign, I just had to style them together!

Shirt: Fidelity Denim, Skirt: Fidelity Denim, Shoes: Aldo, Clutch: Nella Bella, Necklace: Liel and Lentz, Bracelets: Stella & Dot and Ann Taylor, Watch: Caravelle, Ring: Swarovski

Denim-on-Denim or the “Canadian Tuxedo” is often ridiculed on the fashion scene, but it can be super chic when it’s styled well. In my opinion, the key to monochromatic style is a little bit of contrast – for example, I paired a dark chambray shirt with a light faded mini skirt.

I love the way these two shades look together for a casual-chic spring look. I’ve worn chambray shirts that are a little rough before and I’m amazed with how soft and comfortable the Fidelity Denim chambray is! The relaxed fit shirt looks great tucked or un-tucked and the elasticized waistband on the skirt makes it easy to tuck things in. It has pockets too!

It’s important to create additional contrast with your accessories, so I added rich pops of caramel with my Nella Bella clutch and lace up Aldo sandals. I opted for gold jewellery and a statement necklace from local jewellery designer Liel and Lentz.

The Cleo necklace is made right here in Toronto and features Howlite (white stone) daggers on a gold chain. It really pops against the blue chambray shirt and adds the perfect contrast. You can enjoy $25 off this necklace ($75 value) using promo code “daintygirl” in the Liel and Lentz online shop. You can also enter for your chance to WIN one at the bottom of this post!

This is not the best gutter guard to sell that will be free of you needing to service it in mild to heavy debris conditions. By paying a minimal lease cost, they can get portable generators for the site. They had called him, and I don’t know what they said, but somehow they had convinced him, not that I was dangerous along with my dogs, but that they were the culprits.
