Dainty Girl is going to New York City tomorrow!!! I’m so excited I took my first trip to NYC two years ago and have been back 6 times since! It’s pretty addictive with such wonderful shopping, restaurants and nightlife. I LOVE Macy’s at Herald Square and shopping the boutiques in Soho. NYC is the only city where I wish there were 10 meals per day so I can try more delicious restaurants! Definitely need to get some Grimaldi’s pizza (BEST EVER) and for this visit, I’m hoping to try Mario Batali’s Eataly and have some fresh Mexican at Dos Caminos.
I’ll be sure to Tweet updates while I’m there and post my adventures when I’m back on Tuesday! Special thanks to the lovely Jenn Brown for being my host (and a great friend) while I’m there! xoxo
My first encounter with cake pops happened while I was standing in line waiting for a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks. They had three glorious kinds of cake pops, so naturally I had to sample them all! Well needless to say, they were amazing and I wanted to make them myself! I heard through the grapevine that Starbucks had DIY kits for sale, but I couldn’t find any so I decided to embark on this adventure on my own!
I came across some fun recipes on Bakerella and posted them in my “Yummy Recipes” pin board on Pinterest. The best place for DIY baking/candy making ingredients in Canada is Bulk Barn – I found everything I needed there, from cake mixes and icing to melting chocolates in various colours and sprinkles too! Time to get started…
I had a lot of fun watching the Grammy’s last night! I always enjoy the performances (Adele was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G) but the true highlight for me is watching the red carpet arrivals and admiring all of the beautiful gowns…and some fashion disasters too! There was a lot of Hollywood glamour on the red carpet and a little skin…here are my top 5 Grammy dresses of the night and a few for the fashion police! View Post
