Even though the last week has been pretty frigid, we’ve had pretty mild temperatures this season and I’m all about layered looks right now. This cozy sweater dress and chic waistcoat combo is perfect for a dinner outing or a day of shopping. It’s warm without being too heavy and if the temperature drops, I can easily add leggings and a wool overcoat to the mix for additional coverage.
Sweater Dress: Aritzia, Waistcoat: Club Monaco via Shopbop, Boots: Le Chateau, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff via Shopbop, Hat: from Tokyo, Necklace: Stella & Dot, Choker: Lili Claspe
On this particularly mild day, I skipped the tights and opted for suede over-the-knee boots and a bohemian floppy wool hat. I can swap that with a beanie for an equally chic, yet warmer look.
I guess you could say I have a thing for marble right now. I didn’t really realize the depth of the obsession until a bank teller asked me if my phone case matched my winter jacket – to which I sheepishly replied “Yes…yes it does.” So now it’s a thing.
Jacket: Bench, Sweater: Joe Fresh, Leggings: Aritzia, Hat: Rudsak, Sneakers: New Balance, Phone Case: Casetify via Shopbop
My previous phone case was getting all kinds of gross after a year, so I picked up this marble look iPhone case by Casetify online at Shopbop just prior to the holidays. It’s sturdy, chic and yes, it matches my kitchen counters too.

Move aside Vivian! Over the knee boots aren’t just for Pretty Woman anymore! These sexy boots have stepped up in society over the past few years and I’m thrilled to see them as a hot winter trend. I’ve been on the lookout and I recently found the perfect pair at Le Chateau.
Sweater: Joe Fresh, Skirt: M for Mendocino, Coat: Zara, Boots: Le Chateau, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Hat: from Japan
These Italian-made over the knee boots are made of the softest suede and feature an almond-shaped toe and a comfortable 4-inch cone heel. I braved the snow for a quick photo shoot but I’m anxiously awaiting a less snowy opportunity to wear them out!
