Well, that was an interesting weekend for weather wasn’t it? If you’re in the Toronto area, we had rain, hail, strong winds and even SNOW at one point! The sun is back out and shining again today, but the temperatures still call for a light jacket. Weather like this calls for a cozy t-shirt dress and sneakers, with a jacket you can layer on when needed.
Dress: Bench, Shoes: Adidas, Jacket: Soia & Kyo, Necklace: Jennybird, Handbag: Sneha Varma
I found this relaxed t-shirt dress at Bench online – it’s soft and stretchy with a loose fit that’s perfect for layering. You can dress it up or down, but I prefer to style this dress with sneakers for an athletic-chic look.
Exciting news for online shoppers! I don’t know about you, but I make most of my purchases online and I’m always thrilled when I see PayPal as an option at checkout. I trust PayPal and can pay directly from my preferred bank account or credit card without having to scramble to get the number. As much as I love the convenience of online shopping, it comes with a few risks – Will it fit? Will I like it as much once I see it in person? Is that REALLY what I ordered?! Turns out, 40% of Canadians have those same fears. Well, fear no more! My friends at PayPal Canada announced Return Shipping on Us yesterday!
PayPal’s Return Shipping on Us service aims to boost consumer confidence and drive online retail by refunding shipping costs on eligible online purchases within Canada and around the world. To be honest, I’ve actually bit the bullet on a few failed online shops because I didn’t want to pay the return shipping – sometimes it can cost as much as the product itself!
PayPal now offers Return Shipping on Us in nearly 40 countries. In Canada, the service allows up to 10 refunds on eligible online purchases per calendar year. Simply opt-in for the service online and you can request a refund of up to $30 per purchase within two weeks of mailing the return! Join now for free…
Thanks PayPal Canada – I’ll enjoy online shopping even more with your new Return Shipping on Us service!
Spring is the perfect time for layering and I love being able to wear my favourite leather moto jacket again! It looks great over everything – jeans and a tee or a girly dress. This leather and silk combo is perfect for moderate spring temperatures and it looks fabulous too! I’ve been stocking up on these simple silky slip style dresses from Aritzia – they’re so comfy and I love the chic midi length for spring or fall looks.
Dress: Aritzia (similar), Jacket: Mango (in Paris), Shoes: Senso, Necklace: Jennybird, Bag: Sneha Varma
This deep blue dress features a v-neckline and long slits in the midi length. It looks great paired with my leather moto and matching edgy ankle boots. Perfect for a spring night out!
With the arrival of spring temperatures, there’s nothing like a pair of floral pants to ring in the sunny season! I already have a pair of floral joggers but had yet to add a pair of stretchy floral pants to my collection – until I found these from Canadian brand I Love Tyler Madison.
Pants: I Love Tyler Madison, Tunic: Free People at Shopbop, Shoes: Le Chateau, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
The Jardin de Fleur print features soft pink, grey and cream which makes this pair of pants easy to match with various items in my wardrobe. It’s the perfect print for spring and while these pants look dressy, they feel like super cozy lounge wear!
If you’re like me, chances are you’ve had a few bad experiences washing special articles of clothing at home. The tags may not say “dry clean only” but sometimes they really should! After ruining a few items of clothing, I often defer to dry cleaning out of fear and most likely spend more money than I need to. My friends at Tide recently challenged me to give regular home laundering a try once again. I accepted the challenge and picked out an outfit that I would normally hand wash or dry clean – this delicate airy sundress and a soft chambray kimono.
Dress: Aritzia, Kimono: Aritzia, Hat: Aritzia, Shoes: Le Chateau
The labels recommend hand washing on these items but I defied those rules and washed them using the gentle cycle in my washing machine, cold water, Tide Pod detergent and Downy Fabric Conditioner.
Turns out, they’re surprisingly washable!
