With warm weather finally here, it’s time to show a little skin! This time of year, my beauty checklist includes a much needed pedicure, a spray tan and full body exfoliation. My friends at the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto recently invited me to experience the Divine Body Treatment and it was the perfect spring pick-me-up for my skin!
This relaxing one-hour treatment promises to leave your skin nourished, soft and glowing just in time to ditch those panty hose and break out the tank tops!
Guess what? I’m thrilled to announce that I’m co-hosting another Twitter chat with my friends at Clarisonic Canada! These chats are always so much fun – I get to share my skincare experiences, give away amazing prizes and I always learn something in the process!
This time we’ll be focusing our Clarisonic Twitter chat on one of my favourite subjects: travel skincare. As you know, I’ve been traveling a lot over the past year and it’s important not to let my skincare routine fall to the wayside. Needless to say, my Clarisonic goes wherever I go – and I’m loving their adorable new nautical collection!
Joining me on this chat will be my friend and fellow traveler, Jenn Weatherhead (of Travel & Style Mag). Jenn and I actually traveled together to Istanbul last year so I’m excited to reunite with her on the subject!
Make sure you join us on Wednesday May 20th at 8pm EST for great travel skincare tips and as always, your chance to WIN a Clarisonic device! All you need to do is use hashtag #SonicRevolution to join the conversation – look forward to chatting with you!
As someone with fair skin, tanning the old fashioned way isn’t really an option for me. I burn and freckle very easily so I always opt for sunscreen and limited doses of direct sun exposure. As much I love Vitamin D, it’s those harmful UVA and UVB rays that ruin all the fun! Now that spring is finally here and summer is coming, I love the idea of getting a tan, without the negative side effects to my skin. Did you know that the celebrity favourite self-tanning product, Vita Liberta, also offers a professional spray tan service at The Four Seasons Spa in Toronto?
I’ll admit, I don’t usually use self-tanning products because so many can give my fair skin that orange look, but I visited the spa to try out the Vita Liberata spray tan treatment for myself.
Last month, I received an invitation to try a product called Teosyal with Dr. Cory Torgerson. I’ll be honest, I had to Google what that was and when I realized it was an injectable filler, I almost dismissed the idea entirely. I read through her email and found the pitch – they were offering me the opportunity to try any or all of their Teosyal products (under-eyes, cheeks or lips). My initial reaction was “FUD” – fear, uncertainty and doubt.
I’m happy with my face and I don’t want to look like Lindsay Lohan…
That said, I was intrigued by the idea of trying something with such a stigma around it. Sure, there are people who misuse and overdo it with fillers, but I’m sure there are many more who use it modestly and no one even knows about it. So, I decided to go for a consultation.
If there’s one constant in my skin care routine – it’s Dermalogica. It’s not just about their effective take-home products, but their professional services are worth indulging in from time to time. Never been to a Dermalogica Skin Care Centre? With Dermalogica Face Map Our Nation launching this month – there’s no better time than now!
Now that winter is (finally) over, it’s time to shed that dry skin with a professional facial and new products suitable for warm weather and outdoor activities. With a quick 5-minute Face Mapping skin analysis from Dermalogica, you can figure out which products are best for you!
