About Dainty Girl

Hi Friends! Thank you so much for visiting Dainty Girl! I’m Nicole and I’ve always had an affinity for pretty things. I love to feel feminine, soft and of course…dainty! It started at young age, playing in Mom’s closet and cutting my own hair (much to Mom’s dismay) and continued throughout my teenage years as I learned to shop and give my friends makeovers.

I remember being so excited to spend my measly part-time, minimum wage pay cheques for the most stylish things I could find in my small hometown mall. Now, with a career and a full time job, not much has changed! I still can’t wait to shop my favourite online boutiques and try the latest beauty products – I just have to share my pay cheques with my mortgage now (*groan*).

My favourite fascination is dresses – from structured form fitting sheaths in the office, to playful frocks on the weekends – I am almost always wearing a dress! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a great pair of skinny jeans as much as the next girl, but nothing makes me feel more special than a dreamy dress.

I love putting together classic looks with trendy textures, embellishments and accessories and I frequently juxtapose my feminine faves with edgy accents. I’ve really come into my own style throughout the years and I’d like to use this blog to share my shopping and styling adventures with other dainty girls out there!

My passion for fashion has naturally lead to a healthy obsession with beauty and skincare. I love testing new products and consider my own personal “canvas” to be the best accessory to a great outfit. My beauty regimen is a mix of drug store steals and spa splurges all working in harmony to keep me feeling pretty! I share my discoveries with my family and friends and I hope you’ll find my reviews helpful too!

I live in Toronto and I’m incredibly passionate about supporting local entrepreneurs and investing in our own economy. Many of my features will be local to me, but never fear – emerging trends as well as style, fashion and beauty advice can be shared universally!

Feel free to share my blog with other dainty girls out there and send any questions, comments or feedback my way: nicole@daintygirl.ca.

Stay Dainty 😉
