Spring Style: Colorblock Dress

Categories: Fashion

Spring has sprung and we kicked it off with some beautiful weather over the long weekend! I’ve been pulling my spring/summer dresses out of storage and adding new ones to my collection for the past couple of weeks. When I spotted this gorgeous zip-front colorblock dress at Ann Taylor, I couldn’t wait to add it to my dainty repertoire!

Spring Style: Colorblock Dress

Dress: Ann Taylor, Shoes: Ann Taylor, Bag: Nella Bella, Necklace: Leila, Watch: Caravelle New York, Bracelets: Stella & Dot and Le Chateau, Rings: Swarovski and Jewlr

Even though it’s a sleeveless style, I can get away with this colorblock dress on a sunny spring day and layer over a cardigan, blazer or classic trench coat if I need to.

Day and Night Easter Style

Categories: Fashion,Featured

Happy Good Friday Friends! I just got back from four days in Chicago and I’m looking forward to a long weekend of Easter celebrations with family before flying off to Dubai next week! As a Trend Advisor for Toronto Eaton Centre, my latest challenge was to style two Easter looks, one for day and one for night incorporating some of the same items. The pastel trend is hot this spring, so finding Easter style at Toronto Eaton Centre was an easy task.

Day and Night Easter Style

Blouse: French Connection, Skirt: Club Monaco, Shoes: Zara, Bag: Danier, Watch: Caravelle New York, Bracelets: Stella & Dot and Ann Taylor, Ring: Swarovski

First, I styled a dainty daytime Easter look featuring a beaded sleeveless blouse and a midi length pleated skirt. I’ve been coveting a full skirt for spring and I just adore the peach and polka dots!

I’ve been using Dermalogica products for a few year and have blogged about them on various occasions. This quality skincare line has transformed my skin over the years, so I was thrilled when Dermalogica asked me to be an Ambassador for their new Little Grey Pass program.

Guess Who’s Going to Dubai?!

Me! From April 23-27, and I still can’t believe it’s happening. When my friends at Turkish Airlines and Le Chateau joined forces and invited me on this press trip, I quite literally jumped for joy. Dubai is one of those places that I’ve always been curious to visit, but I know it would’ve taken me ages to get there. So what’s the occasion for such an adventure?

Le Chateau Dubai

Le Chateau has opened their first store in Dubai and we’re going to check it out! As a Brand Ambassador for Le Chateau, I’ve had the pleasure of working with them closely over the past few months and I’m so excited to see this Canadian brand on the international fashion scene – especially in such a fashionable city like Dubai! I’ve also had the pleasure of working with Turkish Airlines before and I know we’ll be flying to Dubai in the lap of luxury!

Read all about my trip to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines last summer HERE.

Dubai

This time around, I’ll be joined in Dubai with four fabulous ladies:

Le Chateau surprised me with an amazing package of travel essentials to bring to Dubai, including slippers, comfy walking shoes, sunglasses, wireless headphones and more!

Le Chateau Dubai

They also included a generous gift card so that I could shop for some additional travel fashion essentials before we depart. Here’s what I picked up…

Le Chateau Dubai

Dubai is hot and sunny (yes please), so I stocked up on loose and lightweight tops, comfortable walking shoes, a hat and a crossbody bag that converts to a clutch for the evening.

I’m so excited! Follow our adventures on Twitter and Instagram – we’ll be using hashtags:

  • #4DaysInDubai
  • #LeChateauTakesDubai
  • #TurkishAirToDubai

It’s going to be a whirlwind trip with a great group of friends and I can’t wait to share it with you! Stay tuned for a full recap on the blog when I return.

Twenty Four Hours in Tokyo

Categories: Lifestyle,Travel

Okay…so I was actually there for three days, but I was on a business trip, so only 24 hours of that was personal time. Some of that time I was sleeping, another hour in transit to the airport and two hours checking in for the long flight home. All in all, I had about 12 hours to explore Tokyo!

Twenty Four Hours in Tokyo

Tokyo is a city I’ve always wanted to visit, so I was thrilled to be sent there for work. With only one day to see the sights (and eat as much as I could), I had to be very selective and strategic with my time. I’m amazed by how much ground I was able to cover in such a short period of time! Keep reading to follow my adventure…
