Are you a frequent traveller? I am, and I like to think I have packing down to a science. It drives me a little batty when I’m going through security at the airport behind someone who doesn’t have their sh*t together. Digging through their carry on for their liquids and gels or forgetting to remove their laptops or tablets – it can be a stressful thing especially with a huge line of people with flights to catch behind you. My friend Gloria of Rogue Stories is also an avid traveller and she recently decided to put her experience to work by designing and creating The Flight Pack.

Crafted with premium vegan leather, gunmetal details and microsuede lining, this water resistant bag will become your go-to at the airport.

Hello! You may have noticed that this is my first blog post in almost a year. Why did I stop blogging? Truthfully, as much as I love fashion and beauty, the market is incredibly over saturated and blogs are in danger of becoming one big unoriginal and sponsored experience online. No offence to my lovely blogging friends who are still out there hustling every day, but the scene just isn’t for me anymore.

So why am I breaking my silence now?

Because I’ve recently gone through something that I feel compelled to share with you. And because this blog for some wonderful reason still receives a lot of traffic, I thought this would be the right medium to share.

So here it goes…

Fall is on the way and the time for short rompers is almost coming to an end. I don’t know about you, but I have a few rompers that I got a lot of wear out of this summer. They’re just so cute and comfortable, whether you choose to dress them up or down. I found this bold orange over-the-shoulder romper at Mendocino earlier this season and I absolutely adore it!

The long flared sleeves on this over-the-shoulder romper make it perfect for the summer-to-fall transition. The high waistline with wide ruched legs makes it look like a fashionable mini-dress with the all the function of shorts. PS – it has pockets!

With the heat we’ve been having lately it’s hard to think about fall fashion, but it’s time to start preparing your wardrobe for seasonal transition! The seventies are back in a big way this fall with playful bohemian prints, billowy shapes, earth tones, luxurious suedes and more. I was inspired to style a monochromatic seventies look when I found these coloured suede heels at DSW Canada.

To create a chic tonal look, I combined apparel and accessories in similar seventies-inspired earth tones. The playful paisley and floral print on the dress adds texture, which is important to keep monochromatic looks from falling flat.

It’s hard to believe that the summer is almost over! I know, I nearly hissed at myself for saying it, but time flies when you’re having fun right?! I’ve been busy preparing for my fall wedding and taking as many weekend getaways as I can! Late last month, I knocked Oro-Medonte, Ontario off my list with a fun-filled summer getaway at WayHome Music & Arts Festival.

My fiancé and I hopped in the car after work that Friday and we were relaxing on the lawn watching some our favourite bands by 7pm! Thanks to the reliable TELUS mobile network, we enjoyed #ConnectedMoments all weekend long.
